Carissa Yuen is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a diverse athletic background and a passion for empowering others. She understands the importance of strength training not just for aesthetics, but for everyday functionality.
She began her fitness journey to address chronic shoulder and back pain from years of sports, and what started as a way to alleviate discomfort quickly turned into a deep passion for lifting. After experiencing the transformative power of strength training in my own life, she earned her personal training certification with the goal of helping others achieve the same relief and strength.
Growing up, she was always active, with early involvement in swimming, basketball, and track & field, but her true passion was equestrian show jumping, which she pursued for nearly a decade. These sports shaped her discipline and love for competition, which now fuels her work with clients.
Whether it's guiding a 14-year-old to a personal best of 225lbs deadlift in under two months or pushing herself to conquer goals like climbing a peg board (a feat she’d once only seen accomplished by men), she is driven by the challenge and reward of personal growth, both in herself and in those she trains.
Her fitness philosophy centers around functional strength, injury prevention, and building lasting habits that make a tangible difference in everyday life. She’s dedicated to helping clients not only look and feel their best, but to thrive in all areas of life through effective, sustainable training methods.
